Didn't you know?(Black*Star x Chubby!Short!Reader)

(A/n: I couldn't fit the entire title ;w; but it's Black*Star x Chubby!Shy!Short!Reader quq I really hope you guys enjoy it, I've never really written for Black*Star so it may/will be sort of Out of character, again I apologize )

Today was one of everyone's day off so you had all decided to head over to the park to shoot some hoops, mostly everyone was there except for you and Black*Star. Tsubaki had been apologizing for Black*Star and hoping the idiot hadn't started yet another fight when the both of you showed up, the  both of you with a scowl on your faces. 

"What's wrong with you?" Soul asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Well Black*Star over here tried to start this fight with this guy because he had made a comment about... well about me, I told him to drop it and now the poor man is in the hospital... It was really embarrassing since everyone was staring at us" You spoke up while staring down at your feet because everyone was now staring at you while you explained what had happened.

Everyone nodded their heads in understanding and Patty ran up to you and handed you her stuffed giraffe causing you to to smile and take it while thanking her. Black*Star still wasn't saying anything which was beyond weird and unusual, it was quiet until he pulled you into a hug, his head resting in yours and he hugged you tightly to his chest. 

"I'm sorry babe, that jerk deserved it and I don't regret it one bit! He should have know better than to mess with the person who shall surpass god's girlfriend" He said stubbornly and placed a kiss on your forehead, which made you grow all fuzzy inside, he was such an adorable dork sometimes. 

Your moment was ruined by the gasps of everyone, well everyone except Tsubaki and Death the kid, you pulled away from Black*Star with wide eyes, you thought something had happened but you calmed down once you saw everyone staring at you both with shocked faces. Both you and lack*Star raised an eyebrow at them. 

"What?" Black*Star spoke up when nobody else did. 

"Since when were you guys a thing? Why didn't you tell me bro? So not cool" Soul chimed in while his face went from shocked back to his 'too cool to care' face. You then made a confused face along with Black*Star, "Didn't you guys know? We've been going out for over three months now" You explained slowly as if you were talking to children. 

"Yeah, even Tsubaki and Kid know" Black*Star pointed out, they understood why Tsubaki would know but they were not entirely sure how Kid knew.

"How did you know?" Liz asked slightly astonished that he knew something before her and Patty did.

Kid sighed and began to explain how it was that he had found out you two were a couple.

"Wow... you look very beautiful (Y/n)" Kid said as he walked around you, checking the outfit out for your and Black*Star's date, of course as soon as Kid called you beautiful would be the second he would show up, and the cherry on top your face was flushed and you giggled a bit at the compliment. 

Black*Star was green with envy and jealousy, he then shoved the OCD loving weirdo away from you, "What the hell? Stay away from my girl!" He said as he was about to go ninja on his butt.


"Black*Star!No! He was just helping chose an outfit for tonight" You explained hurriedly, you didn't want them to start a fight over you, he was so mad he wasn't listening so then Soul and Maka had to tear them apart so they wouldn't end up hurting themselves.

"Oh, so that's why you two were going at it!" Maka exclaimed in comprehension and Soul simply nodded in understanding.

"I thought you would have all noticed that other time when were at the carnival" Black*Star reminisced and you nodded smiling at the memory.

You and Black*Star were playing the carnival games like crazy, making them all a competition on who could do better or who would win, sadly none of you had won anything and you were both getting your hopes down. That was until you got to a certain game, Black*Star had noticed that the person behind the stall switched out bottles for others.

"Let's go to that one (Y/n)!" he said as he grabbed your hand and dragged you to it. "Give me a second" He said as he went to go talk to the man, Liz and Patty unknown to him, saw Black*Star talk with the man and the man nodded after he had handed over a twenty dollar bill.

He then again paid the man for the both of you to play. "Hey (Y/n) let's switch sides, I can throw way better with my right hand and I need to be on that other side" He spoke up as you shrugged your shoulders and switched with him, on your first try you had won and you did a small victory dance, and you got a small stuffed animal. 

Black*Star grinned and congratulated you, you then hugged the crap out of him and gave him the stuffed animal. Liz and Patty smirking knowing that you only won because of him.

Liz and Patty gave each other an 'ohhhhhh' look, Patty then looked like she finally understood something, "Oh so that's why I see Black*Star always sneak into (Y/n)'s room and come out with his hair looking all weird!!!!" She spoke happily and she clapped. You got a bright red face and Black*Star looked quite embarrassed, everyone else laughed and Soul got a nose bleed. 

"Don't make me kick your ass Soul" Black*Star threatened Soul, knowing he was imagining (Y/n) since he had gotten a nosebleed.
